Ryan Munce [6] struggled a bit in his first start for the Chiefs allowing 4 goals on 17 shots in two periods of work before being relieved by Morgan Cey [7]. Cey went on to stop 7 of 7 shots faced in the third period and overtime and then stopped 7 of 9 penalty shots for the shootout win. Jean Desrochers led the way offensively with 3 assists while Dimitri Tarabrin lit the lamp twice. Andrew Martens had 1 goal and 1 assist and Doug Andress netted the other Chiefs goals. Individual helpers belonged to Ben Wallace, Geoff Waugh and John Adams. Adam Henrich [8], John Adams and PJ Atherton [9] had the winning goals in the shootout. Atherton and Tarabrin were named first and second stars of the game.
