This team's not perfect, but it's skilled and it has some goaltending, and if you've got those elements you have a chance.
WHE-2
JHN-5
Johnstown got a very solid night from Gerald Coleman [3] who stopped 35 of 37 shots faced for the win. The Chiefs were outshot 37-26 but still poured it on to move to .500 at 4-4-0 for the year. PJ Atherton [4] paced the team with 3 power play assists while Gus Katsuras and Stanislav Lascek [5] both poured in 1 goal and 1 assist each. Veteran Randy Rowe had 2 assists and newcomer David Spina, rookie Maxime Boisclair, and big Adam Henrich [6] each had goals. Zbynek Hrdel [7] and Andrew Martens each had individual assists.
Coleman, Atherton and Rowe were the game's three stars.
Lascek leads all ECHL rookies with 11 points in 7 games and is tied for sixth in the league in scoring. Atherton has 8 assists in 8 games and is first among all rookie defensemen in scoring and forth among all ECHL defensemen in scoring overall. I smell recalls, and for Atherton, sooner or later I smell Lightning contract.
