The Falcons protected a lead in the 3rd period from start to finish. SPR-4 PRO-3 Gerald Coleman and the Falcons held the fort for the final 20 minutes of the game protecting a tentative 1 goal lead for the duration of the final frame. If the Falcons learn to do this regularly, they will be dangerous. Coleman made 29 saves on 32 shots for the victory and a second star honor. Darren Reid's game winning goal propelled him to first star of the game. Very quietly Reid is having the kind of sophomore statistical bounce that the Falcons needed out of him.
