Charlotte scored 5 unanswered goals in the final 27 minutes of a total Johnstown meltdown. Gerald Coleman allowed 4 goals on 35 shots for the loss. Brandon Elliot had the lone Chiefs goals off assists from Bryan Nathe and Zbynek Hrdel.

Stanislav Lascek was a scratch in the game.

Prospect Rankings Update

As a result of today's trade of prospect Darren Reid, Bolt Prospects' staff has decided to update our rankings to reflect the departure. As a consequence, a new 25th prospect had to be named, and Bolt Prospects is pleased to announce PJ Atherton has made the list for the first time in his career.

Bolt Prospects plans to release its Midterm Rankings, a full and comprehensive update, some time after the U20 World Junior Championships conclude in January.

Karjala Cup Day One

Vasily Koshechkin stopped 16 of 18 shots faced today as Russia knocked off home team Finland 3-2 in their opener in the Karjala Cup. RW Evgeny Artyukhin was thrown out of the game six and a half minutes into the first period after taking a charging major.

Bolts Send Reid to Flyers for Center

The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired center Daniel Corso from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for right wing Darren Reid, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced.

Corso, a 5-foot-9, 190-pound native of Montreal, Quebec, has appeared in six games with the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League this season. He has scored two goals and recorded four assists with an even plus/minus rating in his first season with the Phantoms. He spent the 2005-06 season with the Frankfurt Lions, recording 11 goals and 17 assists in 29 games. Corso ranked fourth on the team in points and goals.
