Vancouver put the final touches on a 4-0 sweep of Moose Jaw tonight defeating the Warriors 6-3. Lightning prospect Blair Jones was scoreless and even with 2 penalty minutes in the game. Jones finishes second in the WHL in playoff scoring with 9 goals and 21 points in 22 games, 9 points behind Blue Jackets first rounder Gilbert Brule.
With the exception of overage prospects Andreas Holmqvist and Fredrik Norrena who are currently playing for their respective nations in the World Championships, Jones and Moose Jaw's season ending defeat brings an end to the Lightning prospect season. Once the World Championships are complete, Bolt Prospects will begin to post our Final Rankings for the 2005-2006 season beginning with the top five overage prospects in the Lightning organization.
Fredrik Norrena sat again today as Antero Nittymaki was between the pipes for Finland's 3-3 tie with the Czech Republic. The Finns remain atop Group A with the tie.

JD Watt scored at 4:37 of overtime tonight to help lift Vancouver over Moose Jaw 2-1. The victory stakes the Giants to a seemingly insurmountable 3-0 series lead. Blair Jones was scoreless and even in the game with 4 penalty minutes.
Andreas Holmqvist got his first career World Championships point today, a helper, in Sweden's 4-0 shutout of Italy. The blueliner had 3 shots on goal and was +1 in the match.
Elsewhere, Martin Cibak was scoreless and +1 with 2 shots on goal as Slovakia clubbed Kazakhstan 6-0.
Sweden leads Group B via the goal differential tiebreaker over Switzerland. Both teams are 2-0-0. Slovakia sits at second in Group C behind Russia at 1-1-0.
Fredrik Norrena got the day off today as Antero Nittymaki was between the pipes for the Finns in a 5-0 shutout of Latvia. Nittymaki stopped 18 of 18 shots faced in the match. Finland leads Group A thus far with a 2-0 record.
