Notes: Lascek is second in the QMJHL in points (7 behind Quebec Rempart and Nashville Predators pick Alexander Radulov) and assists (1 behind Radulov). Although primarily a playmaker, Lascek is third in shots on goal with 300 (18 behind Val d’Or’s Olivier Latendresse). Tobin is second in the QMJHL in hits with 229, 7 behind Rimouski’s Francois Bolduc. However, Tobin continues to lead the league in minus-rating with a -42. Tobin has 14 points in his last 14 games with a moderate (considering his team's struggles) -7 rating during that time. Smolenak is 14th among goal scorers in the OHL. Beech ranks 7th in GAA, 12th in save percentage, and 6th in wins among OHL goaltenders. He has stopped 62% of shootout attempts against him (13/21). In his last 10 games, Marek Bartanus is 5-6-11 and a plus-6. He had just 6 points in his previous 35 games. Lightning Head Scout Jake Goertzen attributes Bartanus’ recent success to confidence gained while playing for Slovakia at the World Junior Championships and carrying that with him back to the OHL. Bartanus suffered a slight concussion recently and has missed a handful of games. He is back skating, however. Justin Keller is third in the WHL in points, 14 behind leader Troy Brouwer. He is tied for the league lead in goals with Brouwer. His 19 power play goals are 3 better than any other WHL player. He also leads the league in game winning goals with 9. Goertzen states that "Keller has improved every aspect of his game this year and is on the right track [to make a smooth transition to professional hockey]." Over his last 18 games, Blair Jones is 11-12-23 with 36 penalty minutes and a +13 rating. He is 8th in the WHL in points, 10th in goals, and 4th in power play goals. Mihalik has just 2 assists in his last 15 games. He has an admirable -1 rating over that time.
