Falcons Sign Spina to PTO

The Springfield Falcons have announced the signing of winger Dave Spina to a professional tryout contract.

Spina, 21, has spent the first part of the season with South Carolina of the ECHL where he notched 7 goals in 11 games. Prior to that Spina played 8 games with Utah of the AHL after finishing up an impressive junior career with Boston College of the Hockey East conference where he had his career season as a sophomore with 17 goals and 37 points in 37 games. Spina, who is 5'11" 185 lbs. is a good skater who is expected to contribute offensively for the Falcons.
