Lethbridge struck first in the WHL’s Eastern Conference Finals by getting out to a quick 2-0 lead and staying ahead of the Hitmen long enough for a 5-2 win. Lightning prospect Mitch Fadden had 3 assists for the Hurricanes, earning first star honors for the third time in the playoffs. Game 2 is tonight (Friday) in Calgary.
