Smaby's coming...?

It should be any minute before smaby and/or mihalik are recalled, or so i think. Egener was recalled from Mississippi and Schnieder should be back from his concusion today so this should fill the void of the latter two.

its a scary time for NF fans w/ there D lookin like:
Schnieder Egener
Scalzo Rosehill
Koci Quick

Yes folks, Stirling has Koci and rosehill both playin defense (Koci hasnt played D in 2 yrs). Though, to both to both of their defense, Rosehill has always been a solid stay-at-homer and Koci has actually looked fairly good(aside from the occassional dumb penalty) back on D, considering. Actually Koci even had a couple of nice scoring chances when he jumped up on the rush.

It is also appearent why Koci was brought in, K Quick needed a personal body guard and he got one.

What a Reverse

We went from having too many dmen to now not having enough, assuming Smaby and Mihalik get called up. Rosehill started out on D but was moved to forward since we were short there. So it shouldn't be too much of a learning curve for him. However, we will be much smaller back there with only Egener, Rosehill and Koci being over 200 pounds.

You are absolutely correct, Koci is the bodyguard for Quick and some others as well. Koci despite not having played d in 2 years is just happy he is getting ice time here. And he is a monster once the fight starts. One of his teamates remarked after Koci's first practice with them that Koci looked "scary" out there. But he will stick up for his team.

It would not surprise me to see a steady stream of ADs get called up from here on out since neither team is going to the playoffs and Bolts management need to see how ready some of the ADs are for the NHL. We'll just soldier on in Norfolk.

egener

egener had been switched to a forward. is he going back to being a defensemen? if so, they lost some valuable development time having him play forward.
