Munce Named Rbk Hockey Goalie of the Week
Mississippi Sea Wolf and Tampa Bay Lightning goaltending prospect Ryan Munce was named the ECHL's Rbk Hockey Goalie of the Week for Dec 31 - Jan 6.
The Mississauga, Ontario native was 4-0-0 with a shutout, a goals-against average of 0.99 and a save percentage of .973 to help the Sea Wolves have their longest winning streak of the season and close the gap on Charlotte (13-13-4), which has a one-point lead on Mississippi (13-19-3).
Folks, those are some sick numbers in any league.
After making 45 saves in a 5-2 win against Florida on Jan. 1, the 6-foot-2 and 185-pound Munce started three games in three days posting a shutout and allowing only one goal in each of the other two games. After making 28 saves in a 4-1 win against Trenton on Jan. 4, he recorded his second shutout of the season stopping 36 shots in a 1-0 win at Gwinnett on Jan. 5 and then closed out the week with 34 saves in a 2-1 overtime win against Trenton on Jan. 6.
With a record of 8-2 on the season with the Sea Wolves, Munce should be a candidate for the 2008 Chase Chevrolet ECHL All-Star game on January 23. The NHL Network will broadcast the game live at 10 pm ET from Stockton, CA.

Can someone clue me in....
Seawolves on a 5 game win streak btw... 11 pts in last 6 games, anyway.. can anyone clue me in on another player... goalie maybe the we could be getting down the pipe for the rest of the year... overseas? dont know much about how those players fit into the minor league prospects system...
The only goalie Tampa has
The only goalie Tampa has the rights to overseas is Koshechkin, and I highly doubt the Bolts brass could convince him to leave Russia to play in a league two notches below the NHL. I don't even know if the AHL would be worth it to him.
It's gonna be a log jam next year, though, if they do get him over to the Lightning camp.
He's Having a Horrible Year
So far, this year in Russia has been a disaster for Kosechkin. Poor numbers and he's sat a lot. So I think his stock has fallen somewhat. But I don't think it has fallen to the level of the ECHL

Whats wrong with Oulette.... is he on rehab or something...?
Separated shoulder. I think
Separated shoulder. I think he's just now getting out of the sling.
