(Edmonton Sun) Dana Tyrell Claws His Way Into Leading Role
No matter what his role is, Dana Tyrell's work ethic remains the same.
After playing in the shadows of Devin Setoguchi, Eric Hunter, and Jared Walker last season, Tyrell has broke out in a big way this season with the Prince George Cougars.
"Even if things aren't going for Dana offensively, his work ethic is always the strongest on the ice. He is avery humble young man who plays the same way if he's the main guy or not," said Cougars head coach Drew Schoneck.
"Last year, he wanted to be 'the man', but he had a strong supporting cast of players. This year, he has taken that extra pressure and really been a force for our team in so many ways."

Tyrell has really come into his own this year. But he needs to be in a Norfolk uniform next year except and unless he does a Lundin at next year's Bolts training camp.
A month ago, I may have laughed at that notion (Tyrell in TB next year), however... now I'm not so sure he couldn't pull a Darche and make the club as a 2/3 line banger/scorer.
He'll obviously get knocked around something fierce up there, and very few players make that jump. However, as much as that possibility is due to his style of play and success, it's as much a case of TB just not having anyone to step into those spots.
We've seen role players like Darche and Ward step in and earn spots there. I don't think it's out of the question to say he could at least push for a spot next year in Tampa if things don't improve with the big club.
