Lascek Gets Natural Hatter in Chicoutimi Shootout Loss

Stanislav Lascek netted three straight goals to start Chicoutimi’s Saturday night game against Acadie-Bathurst. Unfortunately, Lascek couldn’t get another in the post-overtime shootout as the Titan beat the Sagueneens 5-4 in a shootout. Lascek opened the scoring in the first with a shorthanded goal, then followed that up minutes later with a power play marker. He completed the hattrick at the end of the first with his fifth goal of the season. Lascek was named the game’s first star. In other action Saturday night… Owen Sound crushed defending Memorial Cup champion London 8-1, but Owen Sound’s Marek Bartanus did not register a point, penalty minute, or plus/minus rating. Moose Jaw also registered a blowout win by beating Saskatoon 9-3, but Blair Jones only notched an assist and a plus-two rating in the game. Finally, Justin Keller’s Kelowna Rockets fell to Portland 6-3. Keller recorded a power play assist and a minus-one rating.
