Lightning Prospects Top Atlanta
In the opening game of the 2005 Traverse City Prospects Tournament, the Tampa Bay Lightning prospects beat their Atlanta counterparts 5-3. The Lightning were paced by Kelowna Rockets winger Justin Keller, who scored two goals and newly signed Notre Dame Fighting Irish goaltender Morgan Cey, who stopped 28 shots. The Lightning also got goals from recently signed Marek Kvapil, Traverse City veteran Adam Henrich, and Moose Jaw center Blair Jones. Both Kvapil and Jones, taken in the 2005 draft, scored shorthanded. Assists were earned by Zbynek Hrdel, Brandon Elliott, Jay Rosehill, and 2004 first rounder Andy Rogers.
