AHL Game Night 12/1: Falcons at Monarchs
Ramo may have been called up, but Springfield still has the Boutin Wall.
In just his second start this season, Jonathan Boutin stopped 33 of 35 shots faced to secure his first win of the year and improve to 1-2-0. The Falcons offense was paced by veteran Norm Milley who had 1 goal and 1 assist including the overtime winner with 2:26 left in the extra session. Veteran defenseman Andy Delmore added 2 assists while rookie Justin Keller and veteran Eric Healey supplied the birds' other goals. Individual assists went to Dan Cavanaugh and Daniel Corso. Milley and Healey were named the first and third stars of the game, respectively.
The victory moves the Falcons to 11-10-0 this year which, despite placing the Falcons in sixth in the Atlantic Division, moves them just six points behind division leading Portland with a game in hand on the Pirates. In other words, the Falcons have played themselves right back into the thick of any potential playoff race.
