Oh Geez

Here's a fun recap:

-Says he's playing on the 4th line for Yaroslavl and hopes it's temporary.

-Says he has to hold up and not play physical for fear of taking penalties for hitting people.

Marc Gandler, I hope you're happy.

Russian Hockey sounds like

Russian Hockey sounds like sissy hockey :) Just a joke, but for him to be told he got a penalty for hitting too hard, I find that laughable in a game like hockey. Of course it was similar here last season for him.

Artyukhin's penalties

another one for fun..
he saying that hopes that the refereeng at the Karjala Cup would be better than in Superleague, but in fact he was ejected from the very first game of the tournament after playing a pair of shifts for kneeing... He was banned for that for thne rest of the tournament and it's sounds like IIHF can ban him for some time of playing hockey anywhere...

As for hockey in Russia... Artyukhin is right... Our referees doesn't like when players get injured, even if it was a clear hit... For example do you remember Scott Stevens hit on Eric Lindros that almost ended Lindros career? Was it a clean hit? Yes, no doubt about. Last week during the game between Lokomotiv and Krylya Sovetov Lokomotiv's Denis Grebeshkov made a hit that was a 100% copy of Stevens' hit... And he was ejected from the game...
Just because the player was injured....

thanks!

Thanks for the translation, that was a really good interview. The reporter asked him a lot of tough questions.
