Offseason Transfers

Big news came down today from [url=][/url] webmaster Alexander Chelukanov regarding reports out of Russia that Alexander Polushin has been released by CSKA and picked up by Severstal Cherepovets. With that in mind, here are some other transfers which have taken place with the Lightning's prospect system so far this summer: -Raimonds Danilics has left Texas of the NAHL to sign with Latvian hockey club HK Riga 2000. -Andreas Holmqvist has left the Springfield Falcons to re-sign with Linkopings of the Swedish Elitserian. -Dimitry Afanasenkov and Vasily Koshechkin have been released by Lada Togliatti of the Russian Superleague. No word as of yet on where Koshechkin will land. -Sascha Goc has transferred from Adler Mannheim of the German DEL where he held the captaincy for a short time to the Hannover Scorpions. -Ivan Rachunek has transferred within the Czech Extraliga from HC Znojemsti Orli back to former club HC Zlin. -Karri Ramo moved from the lowly Lahti Pelicans to Finnish SM-liiga power HPK. -Johan Hagglund has transferred to IK Oskarshamn of the Swedish Alsvenskan from Hammarby of the same league. -Eero Somervuori has transferred from Karpat of the SM-liiga to Ambri-Piotta of the Swiss NLA. And with regard to some veterans who helped out in Springfield last season: -Derek Bekar has signed with Chur of the Swiss NLB. -Marc Busenberg has signed with Skelleftea AIK of the Swedish Alsevenkan.
