Lightning to Acquire Denis and Move Up??

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting two rumors surrounding the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus goaltender Marc Denis. The first scenario, which appears bogus, has the Lightning moving Ruslan Fedotenko, John Grahame and a 2nd round pick for Denis. Grahame, of course, is an unrestricted free agent and the Lightning don't have a 2nd round pick in this draft making the deal impossible. The second rumor involves the Lightning moving the #15 pick and Fredrik Modin to Columbus for Denis and the #6 pick where, presumably, the Lightning would have many quality centers like Derick Brassard to choose from.

I don't think there's any

I don't think there's any way in hell Modin and the #15 gets a #6 plus Denis. Tampa would probably need to add something in.

trade

maybe they throw in Sydor? Anyway, how good is Denis? I did not get to see him much, would he be an answer in goal for us?

Columbus

Columbus won't take Sydor back. He was as awful there the first half of 03-04 as he was here last season. San Jose reportedly had some interest, but the Jackets won't IMO.

If the Lightning were to

If the Lightning were to move up to 6(unlikely IMO), who do you think they would take at that spot?

Re:#6

If we move up there, I personally would want Brassard who is a Richards clone. They might want a guy like Mueller instead. If Staal were to fall to 6 for some reason he'd also be a target.
