Cedrick Desjardins was recalled and Bishop status is "day to day".

Just saw that too. Glad to hear it's day to day.

Seeing the recall before knowing that was very worrying!

Regarding Sustr, he doesn't require waivers, only Dman on roster that doesn't and if Aulie is close, you have to make a roster move

Not surprised really. He's been pretty lost the pass month and going down there can allow him to work on little things to make him better and he can be their #1 D-Man down there like Hedman is for up here. Not that I'd say Barberio, Cote, or Aulie are better then him it just has to do with his contract and needing more development time.

I'm fine with this move. Probably only temporary until the deadline.

I don't think he's been lost so much as incredibly fatigued. He hit the rookie wall hard. NCAA guys are used to playing about 35-40 games a season and only 2-3 per week and not nearly as much travel. Once Sustr got to about 25-30 games with all the travel and the more tightly spaced schedule he just started to run out of gas.

That's also why I think Killorn looked like dookie the final month of last season, too. It's something to bear in mind with NCAA guys in the future.

Unfortunately, as far as this season goes (from an NHL perspective), it may not be something Sustr can completely come back from. It typically takes grinding out the rest of a 70-80 game campaign and then a very good offseason of training to prepare yourself for the heavier workload.

Stamkos needs to take Sustr up to Gary Robert's and let him workout there over the summer. He can come back a freak of nature then.
