This is going to be embarrassing. This team is bad. Really, really bad.

I might be the only BPer who doesn't think Bishop deserved to go over Howard. Yeah, he's had a great half of a regular NHL season, but that's it. He doesn't have the international experience, or big game experience.

As for the overall lineup, US simply doesn't have the top line D or F talent that the other contenders have. While the talent level might be deeper than it has been in the past, it's not as skilled as in previous years either. Of course, that doesn't always matter.

If Miller (or Quick) plays out of his mind, the US has a punchers chance, but Canada is going to be really tough, and that's if Stammer doesn't play.

It's a huge distraction. I'm glad he's not going.

Very good read. Highly recommend it if you haven't read it yet. Don't bring it with you on the crapper. Too long.

I agree with most of the picks on Team USA. I would have made room for Byfuglien, but that's about it. Martin for Buff.

I can't wait to see Orpik and Martin on Olympic Ice. Should be fun for the opposing teams.

From DC: Bishop said he got this message from Dale Tallon re: the Olympics: "Some guys are still hurt. Just keep playing well. You never know."

As if they needed any further idiotlogical support for their insane paranoia. I would NOT want to be the guy who had the idea to hold the Games 500 miles from their turf--a mere Molotov cocktail's throw, in the world's largest country--if the nutjobs manage to execute what (and whom) they're promising

I'll still root for Team USA all the way till they're eliminated--only from the tournament, that is (hopefully)
