Interesting. Taormina was not a name I expected to hear this season. Gudas is due back for Winnipeg this weekend, though, so we got that going for us, which is nice.

It's really frustrating watching Panik sometimes. You can see he has as much talent as any of the rookies in the organization but it just seems like it hasn't clicked for him yet. But on another note I'm really intrigued by Jared Cowen on Ottawa's defense. He's big, physical and has a relatively cheap contract and could become expandable with Ottawa having quite a few talented defensive prospects and Yzerman has history with trades with Ottawa.

From what I've been reading Cooper is switching the lines up

Palat-TJ-MSL
Killorn-Flip-Kucherov
Purcell-Thompson-Brown
Crombeen-Tyrell

My Man Palat stirring the drink on the top line? Coop is really shuffling the deck if those indeed are the lines. I like them. I might swap out Brown for Killorn, based on recent play.

Not to pile on poor Teddy, but third line duty might be best if he's in the midst of his annual month long goal drought. 3 goals and 8 points in his last 21 games is less than ideal, especially with Stammer out for half of those.

Go Bolts!

If that is the lines then I'm a little baffled why Tyrell would be in over Panik. I like Tyrell but lets be honest he's a all speed with no finish kind of forward and right now what we need most is a forward that can finish and Panik has more of an ability to do that than Tyrell

Panik has tons more ability than a good amount of the forwards on the roster, only the others have been performing. Panik hasn't.

Tyrell was a 4th line checker before his injury and has performed that position well.

I almost worry that if Panik doesn't turn it around relatively soon that he might soon be trade bait. He wasn't drafted by Yzerman's regime and is getting outplayed by the recent call ups. I hope he turns it around because I really think he could be like a Vinny Prospal for us.
