Agreed. Hooking, holding, tripping, goalie interfering... nothing. F you refs. How about some consistency?

Next issue: who put crushed sleeping tablets in TB's Gatorade?

It's the youth. We have too much youth on this team. We have no one to show them how much speed they need. Yes, we have Marty and the like but we have whole lines of youth. We are going to ruin them without the proper veteran leadership.

Time for SY is dig down deep and pull a rabbit out of his hat.

Wow- did I say That? I thought I said that Purcell has been darn near invisible, and that with stammer out we need ALOT more from #16. For the record, #16 has 3 goal and four assists in the last 30 days, and 1, yes, one, ( ONE ) power play point. That is NOT good enough for what we need from him. Here it is in a nutshell; if you play top six minutes, and you 1. Don't kill penalties 2. Don't check 3. Don't fight 4. Play on the top power play, the only thing your out there for is to score points. Especially if your a veteran and our top scorer is out for the year. If TP puts up 7 points in December, this team is in big trouble-

That's what I'm saying.

You are singling one player out. In the last 10 games, he has 2 goals and 4 assists with an even rating and scored in 4 of the 10 games. Filpula has one more goal with a -4 with points in 4 of those games, yet not a word on him. Marty is 3 goals and 5 assists, a -6, scoring in 4 games, yet no mention there. I get it, you don't like Teddy, but the criticism should not be stuck to one player.

Filipula hasn't been producing enough either, true. The intent of my post was not to be fair to every player. Merely to point out we need more from our Veteran players, particularly one certain player. Just my opinion. If we can give V4 a ride out of town, TP16 can certainly be expendable too. His only job is to score points. I am of the opinion that 1 power play point in 30 days from a forward on the top unit constitutes failure, and we need much much more.

Ding Ding! Exactly. He is good when he's good, and baaaad when he's bad. Soft on the puck. Avoids contact like the bubonic plague. Would rather serve the puck up on a silver platter than take a hit. Not my type of player- but I can see why our G.M. likes him- (sarcasm)

So Flip has gone from this dynamic 2 way player that was the steal of free agency to the shit house in 2 weeks? Really?

Perhaps a better answer is that he is a solid #2 center that is now being asked to be a #1. And not just a number 1, but a replacement for the best scorer in the league.

The disappointment goes way beyond any one player last night. Win or lose, there was an effort displayed that was missing last night. I can understand and accept rookie mistakes - those are part of the learning curve. I can accept being the inferior team in terms of talent - that too is part of this process. Last night was a team that looked like it was playing a man short all night. The effort was missing.

Cooper was right on target when he said that he has been proud of the team regardless of the results. Last night he wasn't proud of the team.

I haven't looked it up so you can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that last night half the forwards, one third of the defense and both goalies had played fewer than a season. That's a recipe that isn't going to be consistently successful in this league.

I agree that the inexperience of the team is not helping right now after all Brown, Johnson, Kucherov, Labrie, Palat, Killorn, Panik, Barberio, Gudas, and Sustr all have less then 70 games of NHL experience so that's 10 of our active 20 skaters. Maybe the time for Yzerman to make a deal would be sooner than later.

Also glad I found this forum, there seems to be plenty of knowledgeable Bolt fans on here

ding ding ding..........we have a winner.

We should be playing with the most 3 inexperienced NHLers at any one time. Do to the injuries we have had no choice but to play the players we have. Out of the kids mentioned above I only 3 maybe 3 that are untouchable in a trade. And I would also be shopping Connolly.

I don't want to lose sight that the team is performing better than I expected at this juncture - especially given the injuries. This team isn't going to make a single youth for experience move that is going to bring them a cup. Keeping and working with the kids may someday.

So I am not in favor of making a trade for a vet unless it is someone who is also young that fills a longer term need - i.e. a younger defenseman or someone with a bit more toughness - similar to what we did with Connacher last year.

Let the kids continue to develop at their own pace. SFY and Cooper can evaluate which of these kids are in the long term future of the Lightning and moke moves accordingly from a position of strength.
