All kidding aside IMO kudos are obviously in order for Lecavalier's stellar contribution to the Lightning in his long tenure here and his multi-million-dollar commitment to curing children's cancer. Also he deserves recognition for scoring one of the Bolts' most intensely amazing, crucial goals ever--not the diving one-hander against the Atlanta Nobodies, but the impossible between-the-skates deflection over Jose Theodore's shoulder during the 04 MTL series that forced OT with 9 seconds left if memory serves--and for performing what can certainly be called the greatest assist in the history of the Lightning, if not one of hockey's all-time best. That bit of wizardry embodied unbridled creativity, incredible finesse and physical prowess, tireless tenacity and a relentless work ethic we all would like to remember him for. He got just absolutely annihilated with a bone-crushing hit as he delivered that puck, too...and in so doing earned the reward of those willing to pay the price.

Here's hoping his standing O tonight is an extremely long and noisy one

Not that it would happen, but interesting question. I think it's a year.

Would be cool to see Vinny retire as a bolt, even if it's on an expiring contract at the end of the last year of his deal (I.E. Tampa trades a moldy hoagie roll to philly for the rights to Vinny in June 2018 )

No one wants to retire in South Jersey.

That's like the millionth puck that's hit Bishop high and has hurt him. Is there anything that can be done about that? Jeez.

Cooper said Bishop should be fine, not concerned about the shot he took in morning skate, said he was going with Lindback tonight regardless

Appears Aulie will draw back in tonight as the 7th defenseman, so no guarantee that Tyrell will play tonight as TB likely to dress 11 Fwds

You'd think being a giant it would be hard for a puck to ride high on him

I think Ben needs to get a little taller.

The reason pucks keep getting up on him is that the book on him says you can't beat him low. That being the case teams come in with the mandate to elevate the puck. Hence, more head, neck and shoulder shots.

Maybe invest in a neck guard.

According to Cooper, Lindback was going to start anyway and Bishop is fine.
