LOL. I've never heard of a "No-Contact Sock".

Love his sense of humor.

Crazy to think Stamkos can be back to playing in two weeks.

I can understand wanting the best athletes going to the Olympics but wouldn't it be better in the long run for Stamkos to take that 2 week break and continue to rehab/rest his leg?

He has said that he wants to have 2 games here before Sochi. I look at Sochi as getting back into game shape for the stretch run.

Heck yes. Better for us, anyway!

Apparently he fell down today at practice - tripped over the blueline. Laughed the whole way down.

I haven't broken my leg and I struggle to laugh when tripping over the blueline.

So after stating that monday would likely be a more energetic practice for Stammer drill wise, Steven not even skating today? per Ehrlendsson they say its an off ice rehab day but this does really seem strange to me. I hope he hasn't pushed to hard for the Olympics. He has an entire career ahead of him.

Yeah, no bueno but I'm not going to be concerned just yet. If this is really is a set back, this is his first after the healing process was moving right along. Still a win.

I don't. I don't want him to go over there. And I don't want Marty or Ben or Victor to go, either. It's a goddamn snakepit, where soulless militant communist control freaks are supposed to protect them from soulless militant islamic control freaks. Even if no terrorist attacks occur, which is far from assured but is everyone's sincere hope, it's a HUGE win to have a couple weeks off to heal and rejuvenate before the playoff push. Even if you go and you win a medal, which is awesome, but at what cost in terms of being mentally and physically drained and exposed to untold needless risks to life and limb?

I get wanting to, I just don't want them to

Anyway, I'm not sure how much we should read into Stamkos taking a day off the ice to do some more rehab. Seems normal to me. We want them to take it slow and steady....
