Hopefully Brett makes the case to stay with the big club for good.

Malone.

Drop Malone down to 3rd; sit labrie or crombeen. I am still baffled as to why we resigned crombeen last year. If Connolly isn't going to play top-6 minutes then dont keep him up with the big club.

If Marty can't go, I'd presume Purcell moves to the top line for a game.

Yeah, I'd imagine Cooper would put Connolly with Palat and TJ.

Connolly is with Stamkos and Malone at practice today.

I'd love for him to get that shot.

I would too.

I find the call up list interesting. One could argue that Connolly deserved to be one of the call ups last year. If memory serves me correctly, he wasn't called up while others, some of whom are no longer in the organization got that opportunity. One could argue that Kucherov would be more Marty like than Connolly and has started out stronger in Syracuse. (Did Connolly win the esteemed prospect of the week prize? I think not.). But Connolly played great during the preseason and I'm glad he is getting a real opportunity in a real game.

Frankly, I hope he does so well that they have a hard time sending back down.
