This is going to be another hard game to win.

I look at this as a classroom project for the youth to see just how much more they may have to grow in order to be winners. Lets just hope some do not adjust to losing.

It's probably just cyincal and homerish to postulate that NHL schedule crafters are handing out some early season home candy to their fave clubs, e.g., that if you're BOS you would pick TBL out of all 29 possible opponents for your home opener, and so on.

Gotta play them sometime. Better now than later when the team will be improved and may have a chance to beat some of the middle teams.

Hawks gave up 4 goals to the Caps, so hopefully those holes are still there for us.

I expect a better offensive effort because the top line had to be embarrassed with their performance in the opener. Again, though, the Lightning need better than average goaltending to give them a chance. Here's hoping Bishop has that in him tonight.

And here's hoping the power play shows some urgency and Stamkos some more patience than to just try for all-or-nothing splash plays.

There are things we could see that would be almost as good as a win, even if we don't get it, and we saw some of those in the game against boston while seeing a few troubling signs at the same time.

I'd like to see some big saves from our goalie, if that's what it takes to keep us in the game at the time. I'd like Stamkos to start the season and like Panik to remember Connolly's just waiting to take his spot. The power play could not kill us.

Sustr looked pretty solid in the first game, hopefully that continues. If we don't win this one, lets keep it to a one goal game, and try to keep from giving up three or more tonight.
