I've not seen any video of the event, but Erne's description sounds honest. However, a shot to the head is a shot to the head, even if accidental. Live and learn.

The only question is why 3 games? It is his first offense, no injury, duh it's the bolts that is why.

Robbed a Krispy Kreme (for the merchandise, not the cash).

Sorry, I can't help myself. Hope the kid is thick skinned.

My link has a video of the incident. Does seem fair to suspend him, but yeah.. 3 games is a bit much. Basically ruins his preseason.

Up 4-0 on the Preds right now. Connolly with 2 goals.

Connolly scored in the scrimmage the other day, too, and earned some praise from Cooper. Looks to be throwing down the gauntlet pretty hard here early in preseason. Palat got a goal, too. Guys like Panik and TJ better be aware the bubble can be a cruel mistress.

Well there's Panik on the scoresheet.

Listening to the radio cast and I'm getting the impression that the Palat-Johnson-Panik line may be our best two-way line.

Both are viable options.

Drouin only getting 12 minutes of IT is telling. If they were seriously looking at him as an NHL option I would think they'd be giving him more time with NHLers for linemates. If Connolly is playing like a high first round pick (and he really seems to be) and the PTP line is all playing well, the Lightning may very well see no profit in rushing Drouin.

Sustr and Witko each getting more IT than Aulie also jumped out to me. Maybe they figure they know what they have in Aulie, but Sustr in particular got 20+ minutes. I wonder if he's getting a deeper look. The way he played late in the AHL playoffs last year, he's an exciting prospect. He was better than Barberio then, IMO, and it wouldn't take much for him to be better than Aulie either, also IMO.
