Florida's D looks way better than ours on paper, btw.

Y'know, taking a step back, the procession of forwards is really quite remarkable.

We're seeing the first wave of Conacher, Killorn, Johnson, Palat and cresting.
The second wave of Connolly, Brown, Namestnikov and possibly Drouin is already forming.
Behind them is Erne, Paquette, Richard and Kucherov and others.

Is it Thursday yet?

Arguable but justifiable decision to demote Connolly (though I'd have placed Pyatt on waivers myself, sounds like TJ and Palat could've made him redundant).

I will say that there's a good chance Cooper'll look back on the decision to promote Johnson-Palat-Panik to the NHL as one unit as part of his learning curve as a coach - the truth is, however unfair it may be, talent usually trumps sentiment, chemistry, etc. at the pro level, and the TBL just demoted its two young skaters with the highest ceilings outside of 91 and 26 (and arguably 16), one of whom apparently outplayed plenty of vets and rookies the last few weeks.

I don't know, Connolly looked ready to bust out of the gate, and the TBL need a quick start to take advantage of that choice 7 game homestand for much of October. I hope this was the right call.

Ondrej Palat not on the ice for practice, team says his absence is due to administrative reasons #tblightning

Here is explanation: in a paper transaction Palat was assigned to Syr yesterday, Connolly called up, Palat will be recalled today, Conn down

It's all pretty complicated to figure out at this point, but it had to do with salary cap manipulation, hope to know more later
