I think they sincerely wanted Drouin to get the puck more to get his confidence up heading into big boy camp.

Yeah, why would Zettler lie about why he put Druoin at center? He explicitly said so he could get significantly more puck touches than the BOS game where he played wing along side Namestnikov and Kucherov. And the Kucherov game winner from Druoin was apparently fairly spectacular.

Wings don't often get converted to centers, but I wouldn't rule it out for Droiun. I think he's got the tools and the smarts to make the transition. Of course, the organization is already infested with centers, but I suppose you can never have too many...

I don't think so... but I do think the ability for Zettler to spot move him attests to just how good of a setup winger he really is. Pete, Chad, and others have been touting him since before the draft as the heir apparent to the role Marty St. Louis contributes to the team. Like Marty, ultimately he probably doesn't play center in the NHL.
