Thank God for those....if I want to watch waterskiing, plenty of places in Florida to do that

And the game is worse for most of them.

Its been a while since I've watched the older games, the rules changes really stand out.

Yes, it's a much better game now. Watching game 7, the amount of obstruction, holding and lack of offense was just brutal.

Isn't it awful? Don't you just really miss teams being able to use icing at will to get a line change, dump-ins to the corner being cleared right back out by goalies, no tag-up for offsides generating more needless stoppages, and constant whistles for having the skill and precision to complete long passes that cross the center line? But guys being allowed to latch onto the puck carrier, cease moving the legs and just go for a ride while clutching and clawing at the guy's stick...that was just so totally what hockey is all about for me. Dang it.

The oozing, putrid suckiness of the shootout comes damn near to offsetting all the positive changes, I'll grant you. But I remain optimistic that the hotdogging circus sideshow will one day be replaced with sudden-victory OT, which is exponentially more exciting for fans and players alike...it's just a matter of time...we can only hope
