Rumored that Horton met with Columbus today.

They're courting him to replace Vinny Prospal.

I'd lose my lunch if I had any left after the other Vinny's decision...

Would that be new to the CBA? During the last one, a player had the NTC throughout the contract.

Even if he never played a game for TB, acquiring him would still benefit the team, since he wouldn't be scoring ridiculous amounts of points against them.

Past history aside, we could really use a rugged physical center to replace Vinny and he could fill that role great. But cost would probably be prohibitive, plus his injuries...plus the fact everybody here thinks he is a scumbag.

After reading today's Times I do not think that Yzerman (got his name right) goes after any players that would push one of our kids back to the AHL.

Quote:
"The approach has never changed,'' Yzerman said. "We wanted to draft well and develop young players and gradually add them to our lineup. That's what we're trying to do, and really last season was the first season we started to see a little bit of that. This year, we expect two, three, possibly four young kids to come into the lineup. And each season, we want to gradually add one or two more.''

Filip Kuba is bought out in a move that does count against the cap.

Default Leddy

Nick Leddy resigns with the Hawks.
If Jerome signs with the Blues it will be , insert length of Iginla contract, before they ever have a real chance at the Cup.

Ottawa Sun reports the #Flyers, #TBLightning, #Senators, and #Oilers are all interested in #Canucks Alex Edler, who has a NTC

Yeah, its Garrioch. But mentioning it anyways.

Yzerman is doing some tire kicking even if Edler is no longer an option, which is encouraging to think about.
