Embarrassing.

Also, Dreger tweeted and said now that Ballard was bought out, Edler is no longer available.

Default 2013 Free Agent Frenzy

Probably need to go ahead and open this up since there's already a lot to talk about 48 hours out. I'll sticky this thread and move over some posts from Around the NHL thread and close that one out.

Aren't you all glad we didn't deal Brett Connolly for him?
It would be stupid to trade for any player, much less players on cap-strapped teams, prior to the end of the compliance buyout period. And I don't think anybody suggested that.

Ballard was just a straw man anyway for expectation level of what to expect the Bolts might acquire on the blueline. He's just an archetype, a representative. Bolts really don't have a ton of cap space to get a real stud Top 4 guy.

He still controls his fate. I get what your saying though, yet NTC's are being handed in so many contracts these days.

EDIT: Just seen the Dreger tweet. Nevermind

Your right. Do you think we will go after him in free agency now?

Lebrun saying Horton is likely to sign in a "non traditional" hockey market. Wondering if he's heading back to FL. Warm climate expected.

So. FL. TB. DAL. PHX. CLB?

Ana or LA too.

He would be a nice replacement for Penner.

Compliance buyouts have produced and may still produce better options.
