I kind of understand how Fready feels. If PC's skating is so poor he's a routine scratch, he obviously can't protect anyone from the press box. So you need someone who will be in the lineup every night.

My thinking is that if you're going to be a guy who can't keep up with the play, you'd better be able to throw hands with the best of them. On the other hand, if you're going to be on the 4th line and aren't a great fighter, you better be able to skate well enough to provide energy and bring something else to the table, whether it's physical play (Crombeen), defensive ability and faceoff prowess (Thompson) / chip in with some offense (Pyatt)... etc.

Nacho's kind of in no man's land here. He did play noticeably better under Cooper, but he needs way more than a half step before he makes an impact 5 on 5, and I certainly wouldn't label him a pugilistic force.
