Bergeron to the hospital with God knows what. Nick Kypreos suggests that it might be his spleen; Kukla's Corner has the headline Per Kypreos, Bergeron may have said, ‘Ow, my spleen!’. (No word yet on how he could possibly have known that.)

Update: This preliminary diagnosis appears to have been confirmed by a source about 3 hours ago.

Toews blasted by barely clean hit from Boychuk in the slot, looked woozy, left the ice & never skated again but was allowed to stay on bench. Good job by CHI to hold on for the win w/o him for the 3rd, but if he doesn't play next game, Game 7 is ON

Edit to add: Various sources indicate possibility of Teows returning for Game 6

The mini-pseudo-season and lockout sure sucked the big fat pimply one, but you can't say the same about the playoffs, esp. this series. I want the Hawks to demoralize Whiner of the Year Claude Julien's club on their home ice in 6, but still there is definitively no more exciting event than a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Final. And if it happens (as I fully expect it will), we'll be able to hear the deafening roar from that Chicago arena all the way down here

Default Homer

How much of a homer is Emrick, he talks more about the bruins than anyone on the ice.

2 goals in 17 seconds been watching finals since 1965 or so. I don't know that I've ever seen 2 goals like that.

AND, I have 0 points up to this point, BUT I picked the Hawks in 6 and Kaner for the Connie... At least I'm not totally embarrassed.

What a final and what an effort by the Hawks..

They did their job and beat Boston. Now we can go back to hating the Blackhawks.

Glad to see the Hawks win. Now if some of their magic could just rub off on the Cubs.

Born and raised in Chicago so it's a good feeling but looking forward to the day when the Bolts can raise the Cup again.

Heard a couple of "Fuckin A's" from Shaw when he was skating around with the Cup. Wonder what his mother thinks about his potty mouth???

She probably thinks it's pretty rad that her son won the Stanley Cup.
