Default Torts

I feel sorry for Torts but he had to know this might happen, especially after his use of salty language on TV.

Default Torts Fired!!!

Per NHL.com!
A five-game ouster at the hands of the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Semifinal round proved to be the final act with the New York Rangers for John Tortorella, who coached the team for the past four-plus seasons.

The Rangers announced his firing Wednesday afternoon. No replacement was named

The Rangers lost Game 5 against the Bruins on Saturday. The club advanced to the second round with a dramatic comeback against the Washington Capitals in the first round.

Torts replacing Laviolette is such a lateral, uninspired move IMO.

Really classless of some of those reporters to call Torts a bully and a bad person who deserves to rot. Why? Because he didn't put up with your bullshit questions? I'm not gonna defend all of his coaching moves, but those are some real low blows. Criticize his results but lay off the cheap shots. Stuff like this really cheeses me about sports reporters.

As if we didn't see this coming. Many thought he would be fired last year. But the Rangers doubled down and gave him what many thought would be a hard team to beat.

Next up is the buyout of Richards.
