Default Exit Interviews......

Ok, so I'm standing here cooking dinner when I heard only part of an interview with Stamkos about his exit interview. From what "I think" I heard he told management he is tired of playing for a team that goes nowhere.

Did anyone else hear what he said?

Wasn't directed at management, just standard end of season player speak regarding the fact that half of the teams will keep playing and we aren't one of them.

Not sure what grounds he would have for speaking out against management anyways

Thanks. Did not think he spoke out against management, just told them he did not like playing for a team with this make up, one that quits.

Might have been. Was somewhat cryptic like you'd expect, but your right he wasn't happy

He wasn't happy. Dang right. And who can blame him, here he is one of the best in the world at what he does, and he gets to sit home and watch lesser beings compete for the trophy he really wants to win among all the others--because the rest of the team is unable to focus and compete at a high enough level to win one-goal games, an ability which would have put them squarely in the playoffs

Anyone catch the face-melting stat about the percentage of goals allowed by the Lightning in the first minute or final five minutes of a period? Get ready to duct tape eyeballs back into sockets:

57.8%

That is a stat that will have Coop with nightmares for the whole summer.

I was glad that stammer was Pissed Off. But he better look in the freaking mirror as his +- was horrible even though he put up +57 points. That takes a lot of doing. Go look at the stat for the Penguins top two lines and there collective +- versus our top two lines both of our's were -

It's embarrasing and stammer, marty should both be upset they are the two leading scorers in the NHL and their team does not even SNIFF a playoff chance. Donkey's are closer than they are.

Coop has some work and pugilism will / should be in vogue when he comes back. Let's hope the lazy boys on the team work this summer.

I find it somewhat encouraging because its indicative of mental rather than athletic weakness, which means if Cooper gets in their heads and gets buy in at camp, he can turn that around quickly.

I would think physical bodies easier to beat into shape than mental breakdowns/attitude issues/head cases, but I'm not a coach. We'll see, starting in five months
