The Ottawa Sun went into the gutter long before this

Luckily Tampa never has to worry about hospital passes... we prefer to piss away puck possession by giving it directly to the other team rather than sending pucks into a guy's skate blades

2 games!!!
Disagree, it was a buddy pass, he never left his feet total body contact.

Scott Stevens made a living delivering crushing hits.

Stevens never did it against the Habnots IN Montreal. You do know the Canadien exchange rate on penalties is different there, right?

Passes up the middle happen all the time in hockey games without anyone getting checked too hard or going to the hospital. Rule #1 in hockey is EYES UP. Rule #2 is SEE RULE #1. This blame game is exactly like blaming the bartender for your DUI

What the 2-game suspension means is that had this hit happened during the regular season it would've been 5 games. Just atrocious, I can add nothing that virtually the entire hockey world that doesn't live at Brendan Shanahan's house hasn't already noticed--that this was a clean hit with a bad result, should have been no penalty at all. GP said Scott Stevens used to make his living delivering this hit, and I concur. I applaud the more careful and sportsmanlike hits we're seeing in the end boards, but in open ice when you have that puck, it's still full-contact hockey, dammit...Rule #1! When have you EVER, since you were a rugrat, not had to keep your head on a swivel, lest it end up rolling around on the ice?! It is STILL not Diaz's job to keep Eller's head up. It's Eller's own job, and he didn't do his job. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, no one could be happy to see a bad injury like that, but come on man. Does anyone think Eller's going to go up to Diaz and blame him over this? Nope, each one knows it's his own responsibility to look where he's going out there.

"It's a big world, eh? Grow up."

Goo goo g'joob!

Sens-Habs game just degenerated into a '70s style free for all after the Sens went up 4-1...Both coaches put all their tough guys on the ice for the ensuing faceoff, and fights broke out between all 10 skaters, goalies did not get involved...Sens looking good so far, especially getting Karlsson back for the playoffs, and Carey Price playing so crappily down the stretch for MON...God, I miss Lightning playoff hockey

I had the Sens in 7 but this might be over sooner if Montreal doesn't get their heads out of their asses.

Yeah me too. Price was shaky down the stretch for them, that's why I picked the Sens. LOL Conacher in a scrap with Gallagher. There's nobody left on either bench, the refs are just throwing everybody out of the game

Had never heard of Jean Gabriel Pageau until tonight's hat trick. I can hear the gnashing of teeth in Quebec from here in Florida...
