Evidently if St Louis holds on to win the Art Ross he'll be the oldest player to do so in the history of the NHL.

Let's here it for the old man! lol

He was here at the beginning of the season. If we can keep him healthy AND be playing for something, I think Vinny has another gear that we haven't even seen yet.

Default Nice

I think this gave us a partial look at the system Cooper is instituting, should be interesting last 3 games. I also think Bugsy got a fever from making mistakes, and would have been benched either way. Coop sent a MSG with that.

It's bizarre when you consider Marty's played a lot better hockey in the seasons in between this one and his last Hart Trophy.

Of course Vinny hooked up Marty with the hat trick. That's two Lightning OG's looking out for one another.

Alex, Do you like your crow fried or baked. .. just kidding. I thought Marty had a good game. Vinny was a beast tonight and it is good to see him play the way we know he can.

Yes - he plays like that now in about 10% - 15% of his games. You know that he can but on far too many occasions he sleep walks thru games.

It was great to be in the house with the Leaflet's going home in a huff and puff chanting go leafs go on the way out the door. While those in the bolt blue chanted Go Home Leaf's but it might have been laughs!

If they don't deal him, they should make Eric Brewer a forward. He is a real expert at deflecting pucks into the net.

That was weird. Hmmm...got a man breezing down the center of the slot, wide open, empty net, stick waving...Rocket, Schmocket, lemme see if I can somehow dental-floss this puck over to m'li'l buddy for the hattie instead

That may be the most passive aggressive assist we've ever seen. LOL, j/k it's all good, Phaneuf was back trying to cover Stmakos, at least the thing went in.

And to think, there are people still on here who were whining about Marty getting old, "losing a step", and literally being on the "downhill slide" portion of his career--FIVE YEARS AGO. You know who you are...

It sure would be nice, though, if St. Louis would be more of a leader, if he weren't so apathetic, lazy and soft. He can't fight, he can't hit...hell, sitting on the bench he can barely see over the boards...what good is he? Maybe Yzerman can get lucky and dump his sorry ass over the summer. Try to get something for him before he's completely worn out & used up

FTFY. It was an unexpected surprise seeing the Bolts play a Wednesday night game in their true black & blue, usually reserved for weekends, instead of the monochrome copycat blue. And they brought us some good luck for a change!

We always love chanting "Blow, Leafs, BLOW!" Good times.

Speaking of good times...no glaring, vomitous blunders by the refs, no shootout, no Crombeen buttkick, Gudas came back after his right leg looked like a pretzel in a fall, no goal allowed in the opening minute of a period (only the final minute of the 2nd, grrrr), Vinny was his old monster self from 2004, Marty took over the points race and climbed to #96 all-time, Bishop looked solid as a gold ingot, Stamkos closed to within two goals of Ovchokin, fewer stupid blind back passes than usual, Hedman played the kind of game we've been hoping to see for a long time, we won, and Malone didn't get injured!

All can say is that Marty must have really hated Boucher.

Bahaha, we should bench him more often!
