Despite what njbolt says, Vinny getting an A+ tonight. Effort and skill going every shift.

Brewer also in beast mode. I think he has more shots than Stamkos.

Obvious sarcasm Vinny's been great.

Brewer's also not being Brewer #NeedsLastContract

Some fantastic acting by the Hurricanes here.

Well, you just can't fall behind by 3 goals. Period. Story of our season.

Liked Lindback's stop on Skinner's breakaway. Anyway this game is a carbon copy of each one in this losing stretch. Oh well.

Well, I'm glad that Cooper is experiencing a losing streak like this. I don't want anybody kidding themselves going into next year, as there is a lot of stuff that needs doing. Just switching faces behind the bench won't solve our issues.

Coop will turn it around next year. Performances like this will simultaneously help our draft position and light a fire under his bottom going into next season.

I don't normally like a coach's post game press conference, but I found this one real interesting and worth a listen.

I missed the first goal, but thought Lindback played real well, especially after being out for a month. Malone just can't make that stupid play at the blueline. Coop wasn't as kind in the presser. The Vinny / Marty goal has to be a top highlight.

Colorado won tonight, meaning they are just 1 point below the Lightning for 2nd most ping pong balls.

IMO, the Lightning should send down Killorn, Panik, and Gudas (at a minimum) for Game One of the AHL playoffs which is Saturday night, coinciding with the last game of the NHL regular season against Florida.

The near-comeback would be more exciting if not for the certainty and predictability of ending in a one-goal loss despite Lindback's essentially perfect game. As Chief said repeatedly, he is all alone back there.

The one highlight, the classic Vinny ownership of his face-off victim and the quick pass to Marty, was awesome (notice, he adjusted his helmet deliberately right before he leaned in...wonder if that's his signal too). Glad Marty roofed that backhander without too much diddling around. *whew*

Another highlight was getting to see Gudas's perfectly timed, textbook example of what in ice hockey is called an "old-school legal hip check" (known to some modern-day NHL referees, who should be impaled, as "tripping"). Had the asswipe been paying attention, he might have noticed the guy LEAPT over Gudas under his own power anyway, rendering all question of tripping idiotic. Speaking of guys leaping at Gudas, where's the charging foul at the end of the first? Jackwads.

:tiny rant: So over this league with its squirrelly, sniveling little rat-faced commissioner and his lockouts and instigating and shootouts and stupid rulemaking and incredibly crappy officiating and overpriced everything. Anybody care who wins the Cup this "season" me neither. :/rant:

Take it away, Siggy....

Colorado can't even tank right under Succo.
