Default Blind

The behind the back blind passes just piss me off, you don't make that pass unless you know your teammate is behind you. It is just frustrating and it needs to stop.

Those passes worked for some reason at the very beginning of the season.

Default Maybe

Maybe they worked because they knew a teammate was behind them and the play was designed that way. They certainly seem to not work very often now.

That dipsy doodle crap has hindered this team like the bubonic plague in the 1330's. Once in a while it gives us one of those WOW what a play moments but 95% of the time it is a turnover and/or leads to a score in the back of our net.

Very few teams do the dipsy doodle play and have it work with regularity. The caps use one which is forward steaming to the net full throttle with Ovi or Backstrom right behind to pick the puck up for a screened shot on goal. That is a designed play but only works because of the speed entry into the zone. Our dingalings do the stop and go drop pass or behind the back on the backhand pass to the other team with impunity.

In fact a drill or two on how to make a pass stick to stick would be nice too see.

Cooper mentioned early after looking at film 8 of our 10 passes are awful the team needs to cut that back to max of 5 of 10. That's a 40% decrease in stupidity passes.

I've filled too many a barf bag with the stupid passes from this team and it's not the kids. It's Marty, Vinny, Stammer, the Queen, Malone all the seniors. And let's not forget the 30% accuracy of our 'D' to throw that blind pass up the boards and/or to the front of the net to our opponents.

That we have won more than 15 games this year is remarkable.
