Considering his first game was a 40+ save shut out, hes regressed quite a bit lol. Btw, I think what fj said isnt entirely a bad thing. 5 hole has been the Achilles heel of the two of them. Depends really on what he has in mind, Bishop doesn't need fixing

Hmm yeah subtract that and he's a .902, though I doubt Jean has coached him much, haha.

When Guy Boucher was fired on March 24 and replaced by Jon Cooper, the future of the remaining assistants came into question. Dan LaCroix and goaltender coach Frantz Jean were retained for the remainder of the season, Martin Raymond remained with the organization to help in Syracuse and Steve Thomas was officially named as an assistant coach. The immediate future, however, is unclear. General manager Steve Yzerman previously stated his desire to add an assistant with NHL experience, but said on Monday he would sit down with Cooper to evaluate any changes to the staff. The contracts for LaCroix, Jean, Raymond and video coach Nigel Kirwan are set to expire this summer
So nothing is really set yet.

Except one thing: probably safe to bet the farm, the house, the dog and the wife that Nigel Kirwan goes nowhere

This man has the closest thing to "job security" existing in the US today, and why not. Good for him, we never read or hear even a hint of criticism about him. Every player, coach and GM who's ever come through this organ-eye-zation has had nothing but props for Nigel, on board since before Day 1 in 1992. Choicest fricken gig imaginable next to touring with Hawaiian Tropic applying product to swimsuit models...dude is living the dream and has a Cup ring to boot
