Tom Jones put it out there in his column in today's Times. Obviously trading Vinny would be extremely controversial, and obviously any discussion depends a lot upon what Yzerman could get in return. But I do agree with this without a doubt:

Who is going to want him? And for what? And don't forget the no trade clause.
Same dumb crap every year. We're stuck with the guy, love him or hate him. ![]()

Tom Jones is Deumig's twin brother from another mother. Shit thrower, always has been.

Plain and simple - NMC. He's not going anywhere.

His comment that Marty is too old to be traded is also laughable.

No.
Besides being a great player (though overvalued) and a positive force in the community, he isn't the problem. And trading him won't solve a problem. The entire team isn't working hard, making the same mistakes, and generally sucking. You fire the coach. |

What everybody else said. Plus, he seems like the only guy on the team who can win a faceoff or the who has the size to effectively screen now that Malone is hurt. Its a toxic proposition to entertain, even if it is fun to think about the return.

At the risk of being banned from here - if you feel that you HAVE to make a huge shake up trade, Marty is the most logical. He would still command a hefty return and we have Brown and Johnson ready in Syracuse.
But if thing continue as they are, Brewer is the one most likely moved.
