Overhaul the coaching staff

I'm not saying we get rid of Boucher, just his assistants. Ever since Wayne had to leave his bench duties this team has not been the same AT ALL.

Yzerman needs to talk with Guy to pinpoint a good defense and offense coach who could compliment his coaching style or we're gonna have to get used to seeing a star-studded team like this play like utter shit.

Why aren't you saying get rid of Boucher? Changing assistants rarely makes a substantive difference.

I would be okay with giving Cooper the job.

When Boucher had this team firing on all cylinders they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in his first year, a feat none of us expected. That's why I'm not saying we should get rid of him, he has the ability to coach this team to a championship. He just needs to retool his approach and some new assistants would help with that.

It is ridiculous how long we've gone like this with Fleming out. All due respect to the guy but it's a business and we should be trying to win games here.

If Boucher and his crew can't get a good playoff run out of this roster then we need to bring in Cooper before some other NHL team does. We'll be kicking ourselves if we don't.

True, but at this point, he completely outsmarts himself (exactly what Torts did his last couple years here). This team has loads of talent, and playing like they have for going on two years... Don't know, may be worth a discussion (not saying do it yet, but a discussion).

My thoughts exactly. Only reason I entertain the idea is because of Cooper.

This is a topic worth discussing. I agree the team needs something, maybe bring Cooper up as an assistant, although I can see negatives with that. But Guy needs help.

The last time we brought up the AHL guy as an assistant the results were disastrous.
