Apparently we're pretty tall and heavy, #6 in both height and weight.

Montreal is shrimpy. 28th in weight, 30th in height.

I was surprised to see that we were one of the older teams. I had to do the calculation myself. With Ohlund out, the average drops to 28.08 and our team rank goes from 5 to 15. Right in the middle.

If you need any proof how slipshod the NHL is, look no further than the relaunch of this season. Remember back in the last lockout shortened season how they had the Game On campaign with Mike Myers and Dana Carvey? It had its own logo and they actually ended up carrying that marketing campaign over to the next year or two, and it worked. They made lemons into lemonade in a league that desperately needs clever marketing.

Having already done that successfully under Bettman's reign, you would think he would've had a Madison Avenue campaign in the can for the delayed launch of this season. Right?

Yeah, you can do that when you're the NBA launching a lockout shortened season. But the NHL needs to be better to elbow some breathing space away from the NBA and the NFL conference championships. They're just so incompetent. A lobotomized monkey could run this league better than Bettman, I swear.

Not to mention NHL.com and Gamecenter don't appear to be working at all. Can't get box scores or watch games. And none of the other sites are getting complete box scores either. What's the deal with that?

I can't get into the box scores on NHL.com. Just Mickey Mouse leadership. It's a miracle they've grown revenues with how knuckleheaded the league office is.
