When I saw it this morning I was surprised that Riku wasn't there. I noticed HF seems to place emphasis on recent draft picks when looking at other teams prospect lists which may help explain why he wasn't in their top 20...but still was surprised a bit

HF traditionally shits on any prospects > Top 60/90 and especially non-drafted prospects, which explain their hate-on for Conacher and Johnson. Surprised they had Brown ranked as high as they did, but he has the benefit of being a highly sought after college FA.

Helenius may have been on their graduated list. He won't be on BP's list for our Fall Preliminary rankings for 2012-13. He's already 24, which makes him overrage prospect.

Slater Koekkoek is going to hate what HF did to him.

Yeah... he barely made their list. I hope Mullin comes out next summer after he explodes this year and leads Miami to the title game.

Read my post above. Pete, Chad, and myself all used to write for HF. Drafts picks outside the Top 60 or so are shit to HF. That's why we got fired/left and started our own site.

I understand the hate for not Top-60 picks but when you draft an undersized forward who had a bidding war in the CHL for his services then goes on to put up a point per game at the NCAA level as a FRESHMAN, you need to take notice.

In fairness, we have Peca outside our top-20 too, because the Lightning do have ridiculous depth right now.
