Lightning sign D Dmitry Korobov

The Lightning have signed D Dmitry Korobov to a 2-year, 2-way contract. Played with Minsk of the KHL last season.

Korobov led Belarus in average ice time at this year's World Championships with 23:21. Also led all Dynamo d-men in +/- with a plus-12.

BP Twitter:

Korobov is a 6-5, 225 Belarusian. Had 1-10-11 in 39 games for Minsk. 23 years old.

The Lightning were eyeing Korobov last summer after a good world championships for Belarus. (reported on BoltProspects last summer)

The NHL squad's d-man lineup is pretty much set unless Yzerman has no problems about trading/waiving MAB or sending Aulie down through waivers.

Probably not. I'm sure Yzerman and Brisebois told him the realistic story. Probably why he's on a two-year deal. Play a year in Syracuse and vie for roster spot next season.
