Seems like a bit of an over payment, no? I guess I don't know much about him except that he was waived by Dallas a few years ago. I do believe he's a winger, but how is he on faceoffs? Thinking perhaps this is the "Number 3 Center" we keep talking about.

He's a physical forward enforcer type, Alex. Left winger, I think. The only faceoffs he takes are the faces of opposing players.

We need some grit on the team but someone who amassed all of 22 hits in forty games does not send chills down my back as an enforcer/tough guy type.

This will be a wait and see if it's what we need for the 4th line type player.

Nice player to have, good middleweight when it comes to fighting, won't fight the heavy's, but he shouldn't have to.

If he can return to his 10-11 form, he'll be a decent checking forward. His shoulder has still yet to be tested over a full season.

He's not an enforcer, he merely fights the second and third tier fighters on the other teams. Usually guys his size or smaller (Dorsett, Bieska, and Konopka) and bigger guys that don't fight as often or well (Commodore, D. King, JF Jacques, O'Byrne and O'Brien).

Can play both wings. Not an overpayment, IMO. Decent 2nd unit PK'er.

This move is, however, yet another roster "body" so that, by my guess, leaves 1 slot open. Correct?
