They're showing games on CNBC?

Yep, they announced earlier that they were getting every playoff game on tv by using extra NBC channels.

I don't understand why NBC doesn't just sucks it up and shows weeknight NBC games?

Love it, glad he highlighted this (and praised Stammer while he was at it). Takes a lot for more than one NHL coach to call out a player like this for his behavior, Crosby's behavior is not imaginary.

Classic Torts gamesmanship on the eve of the playoffs, in one stroke putting the focus on himself and deflecting some pressure from his #1 team to the club with the "two f$%#&ing stars." It's not easy to do it this well, esp. so soon after getting scorched to the tune of $20k for running his yap. Bravo Torts, you got a whole 'nother slew of fans down here in sunshine land rooting for you to win another Cup

Best line of the interview is the final one, directed at Cherry: "Gotta go, your jacket's about to hatch."

From Larry Brooks' column today:

* No doubt that Calgary general manager Jay Feaster will ask the Rangers for permission to speak to assistant Mike Sullivan regarding the Flames’ head-coaching position at the appropriate time, and it is a request that will be granted.

There is no rush to have a coach in place so the Blueshirts’ presence in the tournament shouldn’t be an obstacle for Sullivan, who worked for Feaster in Tampa Bay as Tortorella’s assistant, and who certainly deserves his share of the credit for the rapid advancement of the Rangers’ young defensemen.

Default Yep

We all talked about how well Sully did with our kids when he was here. Hope he gets the job.
