The kid needs to grow up and realize he will get his message across better by setting an example than tweeting stuff everyone's heard before and most likely won't be receptive to. Focus on your game, do some good deeds off the ice. Leave the preaching to the preachers.

Honestly I'm more off the bandwagon because he's a Panther. Otherwise I'd still be somewhat interested in how he turns out.

I had no problem with his "all glory to God" stuff that I read prior to the draft, but I absolutely agree with Wyshynski's take here.

It's fine if you approach it the way guys like the Staal brothers do. The second you start creating a distraction by being controversial on Twitter, that's a problem. He'll get away with it in college, but it won't fly as a pro, because the last thing his teammates will want is to have a microphone stuck in their face and to be asked what they think about what Grimaldi just tweeted. That's not a fair thing to do to your teammates.

At least he's not possibly going to be playing for an NHL team in a city with a lot of scantily clad women.

Yeah. The kid's going to have a cardiac attack the first time he sees Miami. Probably will demand a trade to Nashville.
