2011 CHL Import Draft

The 2011 CHL Import Draft is ongoing today and the Quebec Remparts selected Mikhail Grigorenko with the #2 overall pick. Grigorenko is the teammate/linemate of Lighting 2nd round pick Nikita Kucherov in Russian Jrs. Kucherov has advertised his intention of remaining in Russia for 2 more years to continue development, but there is rumor/speculation that Quebec may take a flyer on Kucherov with their 3rd and final pick coming up later today.

It's possible another team may also select Kucherov just to retain his CHL rights. The watch is on...

Rule out Seattle. They announced they won't making any selections sticking with Noebels and Sutter again this year.
