I'm surprised at the lack of trade chatter around the league involving the Lightning.

You won't get that Pete until its chatter involving the untouchables (Lecavalier, Richards, Louie).

I liked all those trades, but I agree they are slanted toward the Lightning.
That Rangers trade is outstanding. Whoever was against that is crazy. Getting rid of Lukowich and Hlavac for a No. 2? Great!!! So what that we have to pay Malik for like two months. If Vancouver gave us Edler and Raymond - not Bieksa - I'd take a No. 2 not a No. 1. Edler is big time. But, I can't imagine the Nucks giving those two up for a rental. If we traded them Richards. Maybe. |

I suppose you're right PEI. Just goes to show just how incredibly underrated Dan Boyle is by the media.

LOL. OK. I actually liked the big guy when he was in Hartford. The fans hated him, because they never saw his good attributes (he actually is a first-out -of-the-zone passer when his head is on straight and used his body well for a young kid). Of course - Hartford fans got all over Chris Pronger, too. They wanted him to be a Hall of Famer at age 18 or 19. We used to yell at those fans, but it did not do any good. Rutherford traded Pronger for Shanahan and it was the second strike (Francis and Ulfie for Cullen and Zalapski was the first) on the way to Carolina. |
